PUY SAINT VINCENT, 11 FEBRUARY 2023 - Green slopes and closed ski resorts? Not in Puy Saint Vincent. Our little ski village lined up in December with over 2 metres of snow topped the list with most snowfall in all of Europe!

That snowdump provided a lot of winter fun early in the season. We welcomed the French national ski teams and our hotel was filled early on. Our new team could get straight down to business, with Christmas and New Year's Eve approaching. You can see how those first weeks went in this video.

What made us most happy was the reception of the British Ski Club for the Disabled (BSCD). This English group has been visiting Hotel Saint Roch for more than 40 years (!) and was back after two covid years. One is blind, the other has Down syndrome, is autistic or cannot walk. It doesn't matter: this bunch of beautiful people proved once again that sport is for everyone!

Meanwhile, the kitchen team cooks under the motto #partyonyourplate enjoyed it and Valentine was interviewed by Wintersport Magazine. With a nod to the Ik Vertrek episode of last year, Winter Sports posted an interview with Valentine: "Ik Stay!"

Finally, a look ahead: because before you know it, cycling will be possible again. New groups are eager to conquer the cols. The Windjammers from Amsterdam are also at it again. You can read how the Windjammers Camp with the Tour de France went last year here. Getting in the mood already? Browse our route collection on komoot.

Greetings from the snow!

Team Saint Roch
