Hit the road with a snow plough
You can go out with a snowplow. In the (twilight) dark you go into the forest and discover Puy Saint Vincent a new way. There is room for 9 people, you are on the road for 2 hours and a drink is included. €38 per adult; €29 per child. Early booking required. You can read more info here.

Mountain biking in the snow
Several tours can be made by electric mountain bike. Bikes and guide can be booked next to our hotel. Again, booking in advance is wise. You can see more information here.

Ride with sled dogs
Take a tour with Mushing Addict's sled dogs in Puy-Saint-Vincent. Their reservations open from 1 November and for holiday weeks they fill up very quickly. See here the offer for sled dogs in Puy-Saint-Vincent. If there is no availability nearby, you can also go to the Freissinières valley: book a sled dog ride with Dingo Traineau. They are a 20minute drive away and often still have space. As Freissinières is not a ski station, you have even more rugged nature experience here.

The honey cottage - La maison du miel
The English would say 'a hidden gem', this cosy spot in the snow. You go there for a cup of coffee or hot chocolate with delicious homemade treats to go with, of course, honey as your favourite ingredient. It is also a small museum, where you can admire the queen and her hive in person. You can also stock up on real Hautes Alpes honey here. Open from 10-12h and from 14-18h. Only during holiday periods. Check out the website for more information.

Ski touring with guide Lucas from ESN
Our well-known friend and guide Lucas opens this winter season are École du Ski Nature (ESN). Ideal for those who want to learn about tour skiing: safe, accessible trips off piste, for different levels. More info: www.esn-ski.com.

The igloo of Pelvoux

In the small ski resort of Pelvoux (a 15-minute drive from Puy Saint Vincent), the igloo opens every year in the third week of December. Each year with a different theme. You'll find beautiful ice sculptures, a labyrinth, a skating rink, and Old French games, in a very cosy atmosphere. Highly recommended, especially with (young) children. With your 6-day Galaxie pass, you can also combine the visit to the igloo with a day of skiing in Pelvoux. Find out more here.

Other activities in the snow
Snowshoeing, tour skiing, off-piste skiing, sledding, paragliding, snow-trailing, snake gliss... there are many more fun things to do in winter. Check out the Pays des Ecrins website, our local tourism office for all kinds of other fun activities.
