After a summer full of activities, calm has returned to our mountain village. Our staff is on holiday, renovations are underway in the hotel and we are using our time to get inspired. In this post, we take you through our highlights of last summer and look ahead to upcoming winter season.

At the start, we welcomed our cycling groups, including WTC Knesselare, the Galibieros and the Windjammers, who visited us for the third time in a row (!). At the beginning of July, Puy organised the French mountain bike championships. We kicked off with a evening for all volunteers, with as guest of honour former world champion and resident of Puy Saint Vincent Jordan Sarrou. Later in the summer, Maats Cycling visited with their clients: they wrote a report about.

Remember Valentine and Yvonne's big trip? They returned from Thailand with their family at the beginning of August, and you can read their trip reports at Polarsteps read back.

In mid-August, 60 adventurers from the Van der Valk family were on the doorstep for an outdoor sports week. Together we headed into the mountains for kayaking, climbing, canyoning and cycling. The highlight was a hike to a mountain hut, followed by dinner and an overnight stay in the hay of a cowshed.

Experience in the mountains, that's what we love. With chalet AlpeLune, we organised the first edition of Le Pilgrimage in September. A colourful cycling group of seven nationalities made a 4-day gravel trip through our backyard. Our Valentine cycled along too!

Wondering how he fared? Read it report & view the images on the Insta. Another recommendation: Fernwee made films of each stage. Watch the first one above. Stage 2 & 3 are on YouTube.

Now is the 'in-between season' and we use our time for inspiration. Our chef Anne visited chateau Tour des Genets at the foot of Mont Ventoux with Simon in September. During the harvest season, they were given a tour of the entire process, from the grape to the bottle. With a slight hangover, the next day they climbed the beast of Provence, the Ventoux...!

Finally, we put a much-loved duo in the spotlight. Because our Abel and Frederique are unfortunately leaving us. How happy you have made many guests in the past two years. Many thanks for your smiles and incredibly enjoy your next adventures.

Meanwhile, the first snow has already fallen in Puy-Saint-Vincent. See you soon at Hotel Saint Roch!
